Horses For Lease

Cascade Farm and Stables owners Robert & Ruth Yutzy currently have 5 wonderful horses available for lease. Our horses have a variety of skills and abilities and range from meeting the needs of beginner riders to advanced riders. Our lease program is a great option for those who want to experience a steady relationship with a horse but do not want to make the financial commitment of full time horse ownership. We offer a lot of freedom in our leases and are very easy to work with to meet your needs. We charge $300 a month for a full lease for our full size horses and $150 a month for our miniature. We do require that you keep the horse at our facility. A lease includes all the physical needs of the horse: feed, farrier work & vet bills. We also have western saddles available for use on the horse included in the cost. Blue

Blue is an 18 year old quarter horse gelding. He loves to trail ride & takes excellent care of beginner riders yet still has enough go to satisfy a rider of any level. He is a very willing & honest horse. He will also do some arena work- either english or western. He much prefers trail rides & will take you anywhere you want to go. He is 15.1 H tall and would be great for a child or for an adult getting back into or getting started riding.

Timber

Timber is our all around- get the job done, been there done that ranch horse. He is also very athletic & excels in beginner level dressage & western arena work. He is also a great trail horse. He is a 13 year old racing bred quarter horse 16 H tall and a big beautiful sorrel. He is an intermediate level horse- very safe he just a has a lot of go and is a very enjoyable ride. He is a great horse to teach a person to ride at the next level in the arena. If you are interested in cow work he is a good sorting horse, has done roping and team penning. He is a very sweet, gentle and willing horse. Just about any direction you would want to go he's ready!

Whiskey

Whiskey is a finished cutter who has had years of professional cutting training. Since coming here we have used him for some cattle sorting work & as an arena horse. He is 8 years old & 15 H. He is very inquisitive & friendly. He would require an intermediate rider. He is more of a challenge in the arena than some of our other horse but he is very safe & in time will be a great arena horse.

Max

Max is a very fun little horse to ride and would be great for anyone ranging from a confident beginner to advanced rider. He is an excellent arena horse & enjoys trail rides too. He is a dynamite on cattle & is a very good mover in the sorting pen. Max is 10 years old & 14.1 H tall. Don't let his size fool you though; he is a very stout horse & has all the heart you could ask for. He is definitely a foundation working quarter horse. In the arena he is very responsive & has a beautiful slow lope. He would be suitable for an older child with experience with horses or a medium sized adult who wants to do a little cattle work or arena work.

Bill

Bill is a B- size miniature horse. Our 4 year old rides him by himself now & Bill takes great care of him. He is for small children only- probably could not handle more than a 65- 70 lbs child. He is great to get a child's confidence around horses up without being intimidated by size. He is a very cute, sweet little guy that will find his way into your heart in no time. Lease is $150
